Committed to Quality
An EPQ provides further academic stretch and challenge alongside A Level studies and also helps to evidence a genuine interest in a specific area (which is useful for UCAS university applications). An EPQ also carries UCAS points and is valued at 50% of a full A Level in the UCAS tariff. Gaining an A grade can lead to lower entry requirements at many Universities.

Mr T
Head of Fusion Education and Tutor for Economics, Business and Law
Mr T has over 18 years of teaching and has held many positions within the schools which include Senior leadership Team positions, Head of Faculty for Economics, Business and Law. Due to his specialism and ability in Economics and Business he became Chief Examiner for Edexcel and previously AQA.  This role has involved writing the new specification for Business and Economics that was released in 2015 and responsibility for the development and writing of the examinations that the students sit at GCSE and A-Level in their Summer Examination series.
Dr C
Head of and Tutor for History, Geography, Latin, Sociology and Psychology
After graduating from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, with a BA, MA and PHD in History and Politics all with top honours. He then moved into becoming a lecturer, managing courses in British and German History and American Politics.
Then in 2013 Mr C made the decision to retrain as a secondary school teacher. He has worked in one of England’s leading grammar schools, teaching A-level History and Politics becoming the Head of Department for History and Philosophy at a leading international school. Mr C has also worked for four years as an examiner for AQA whilst continuing to research and write on British Politics, including commissions for Oxford University Press and working as an editor for the Five Leaves Publishing House
Mrs M
Head of and Tutor for Mathematics and Further Mathematics
Mrs M is a highly talented and skilled mathematician who has achieved remarkable results in every school she has taught and department she has lead.
Her ability to transverse even the hardest themes of mathematics is simply down to her natural and caring approach to teaching. Mrs M has been an examiner for one of the largest examination boards in the UK for many years. This has allowed her to adapt to current changes and be aware of new techniques and methods.
